Here is where you will find all the latest information about Rutgers Women's Basketball, our Cagers "Huddles" with RUWBB Coaches, staff and others, special Cagers events and much more.
On March 9, Athletic Director Keli Zinn announced the hiring of LSU Assistant Coach Gary Redus II as Head Coach of Rutgers Women's Basketball, succeeding Coquese Washington (You can find more information on Coach Redus here). Since then Coach G has been busy recruiting a new staff and coaches as well as mining the transfer portal for an influx of new talent. Several team members from last season have stayed on at RU while a promising freshman has joined the team. Let's welcome all of the new players, coaches and staff to the Banks!
This summer, the team traveled to Peru and took home the Gold Medal in the FISU Tournament with 5 substantial wins. It was a great chance for the newcomers to get acquainted with returning players and polish their skills.
We encourage you to mark your calendars for the recently-announced non-conference part of the season. Most of the early games are at home, with just a short trip to Princeton for a road game. Here's the schedule. The team is also participating in a tournament in Daytona Beach, Florida, the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.
As new season begins, we will have information here about how to become a member of the Cagers Club. It will be an exciting time. Meanwhile, take some time to study the roster for 2026-27 and get familiar with the players you will see on the court.
