On March 9, Athletic Director Keli Zinn announced the hiring of LSU Assistant Coach Gary Redus II as Head Coach of Rutgers Women's Basketball, succeeding Coquese Washington, who was let go on March 2. You can find more information on Coach Redus here.  Let's welcome him to the Banks!

The Lafayette victory on December 20 was the 250th in the collegiate coaching career of Head Coach Coquese Washington. The 2025-26 season ended with a loss at Nebraska, the 10th consecutive loss for RU, and the end of a 9-20 season.   

We will update this site as developments occur. As next season begins, we will have information here about how to become a member of the Cagers Club. It will be an exciting time.

Our Huddles for the 2025-26 season took place as follows:

Sunday, 11/9 at noon -- game vs. Stony Brook at 2 PM

Saturday, 12/20 at 10 AM -- game vs. Lafayette at noon

Thursday, 1/22 at 4 PM -- game vs. Michigan at 6 PM

Wednesday, 2/25 at 5 PM -- game vs. Indiana at 7 PM 

New Cagers officers will be elected this year for the 2026-2028 term. Look for information about the nominating process in an email sent to the Cagers membership late in February. Please contact us if you are interested in running or nominating someone for these positions.
